Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Last week, we got our first taste of snow for this winter (literally). Since we don't have a front or back yard, the kids and I settled on the tiny little parking lot behind our building. Kailer worked on his snowball-making techniques, while Adelynne caught snowflakes on her tongue and talked to a kitty in a neighbor's window. Maybe next time it snows Daddy will be home and we can go sledding at Prospect Park. Walking a mile up-hill to the park by myself with three kids just didn't sound like the brightest idea.

6 weeks
Colby has really started to take on a personality of his own. He's become quite a tough little baby, barely even flinching when his sweet and gentle big sister shows her love in the not-so-sweet-and-gentle kind of ways. Addie and Kailer love him so much. I think the toughest part of having 3 right now is getting the older 2 to leave the littlest one alone for a second. They are still constantly wanting to hold and kiss and play with him. Colby is definitely loved by his older siblings!

Gingerbread
Last Friday we got together with the Marstons and a whole lot of sugar. Kai and I built a gingerbread house his Grandma had bought for him, and Evy and Stephanie put together a house. Meanwhile, Dane & Addie raided the candy bowls at every possible moment.

Photoshop
My good friend, Stephanie, was so kind to share with me some of her knowledge of Photoshop. I still have so much to learn from her, but here are a few shots that I played around with. I obviously need more time to explore this extensive program, but I am enjoying my initial experimentation!

Oh, Christmas Tree

Yesterday, we took a drive out to Long Island to pick out our Christmas tree. The kids had a blast running up and down the rows and rows of trees. Finally, Kailer picked out the perfect tree and we had them cut it down and load it onto our car.

Addie was not as fond of Santa as Kailer was.

The Rockefeller Tree Lighting
My friend, Stephanie, and I headed to Manhattan last night to watch the lighting of the tree in Rockefeller Plaza. We knew there would be mobs of people, but, hey, we live in New York. . . what's new. As we got closer to the Plaza, we hit barricaded streets, lots of police, and more than mobs of people. We couldn't get anywhere even close to the tree- we couldn't even catch a glimpse of a single light. So. . . we did the next best thing- DESSERT! Serendipity III has the most enormous and delicious desserts that I've had in the city so far. And Stephanie and I enjoyed as much as we possibly could!

my blue-eyed girl
my super-soccer-star
my little monkey
My friend, Sophia made this darling blanket & hat for Colby. It has the cutest little monkeys on it. She is so talented!
Addie thought she looked pretty cute in it, too.

Colby has 2 adorable dimples on his left cheek. He's smiling all the time now, especially at his big brother and sister.
